What Soy Wax Does Differently
Soy candles burn slower and cooler than paraffin, which usually means a longer burn time for the same size vessel. The trade-off is scent throw — soy needs a slightly higher fragrance load to project the same way paraffin does, and it can be more sensitive to temperature swings during shipping (frost can cause a rough, mottled top). We account for both when we set up a soy formula, so the finished candle behaves the way your customer expects.
100% soy is the strongest sell for a clean-label brand, but a soy-coconut or soy-paraffin blend can improve scent throw and heat tolerance for shipping to warmer markets. Which one makes sense depends on where your candles are headed and how hard you want to lean on the "pure soy" claim.
